MOVING WELLNESS LLP is an innovative fitness company that provides exclusively-designed training for multi-disciplinary sports, ranging from:
- Specialised safety/self-defence programmes
- Beginner-level training, whether for health maintenance or a view towards competition
- Full competition training regimens for endurance events including marathons and triathlons
- Learning of key physical skills to defend against aggressors, and potentially save lives in situations of distress
- Physical fitness as a means to achieve improved health (scientific evidence shows that those who exercise have lower levels of blood sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides and cholesterol)
- Physical activity as a tool towards reducing stress and preventing depression, thus improving the overall quality of life. People who exercise report increased bodily confidence, and being happier than those who do not
- Progressive sports regimens as a platform to learn goal-setting, strategic thinking and the pursuit of excellence
Ms Sim Siew Yee, a champion athlete with a 1st-degree black belt in karate, has competed in more than 40 international endurance events since 2002, emerging either the winner or within the top ranks of duathlons and triathlons. These remarkable achievements (including the completion of the full Ironman Langkawi in 2009), can be attributed to a keen understanding of progressive physical training through extensive coaching experience.
Since 1990, Siew Yee has coached a wide range of Singapore schools, including the Nanyang Technological University’s national lifesaving team, the Institute of Technical Education’s girls’ soccer team, the Singapore Life Guard Corp and numerous karate tournament teams.
Siew Yee’s sporting achievements and coaching excellence have led to her being invited repeatedly to be a motivational speaker at sports-related events, recognition of her talent to communicate the multifold benefits of physical fitness and the accompanying importance of enhancing self-esteem, self-defence and overall mental health.
