Creative Movement
Creative Movement improves the social competence, general learning, physical and psychological wellbeing of children, as proven by an increasing number of scientific studies worldwide.
Our Creative Movement course has therefore been specially formulated by our expert founders, to enable children ages 3 to 12 to explore a range of dance styles and experiences. This gives them a rounded educational experience that stimulates and strengthens their bodies and minds.
Creative Movement enables children to:
- develop an enhanced sense of self (both physically and psychologically)
- develop poise, grace and correct body alignment through accurate dance technique
- embrace musicality, rhythm, and creativity.
At Kinder level (age 5-6), children learn about cognitive and physical expression through stimulus and themes.
At Junior level (age 7-12), children are taught execution of dance technique, bodily control and provided the opportunity for creative group work in class.
Ballet (RAD)

The Royal Academy of Dancing (or RAD for short) is one of the world’s most influential training organisations for ballet.
RAD teaching is designed to provide a good ballet foundation, and emphasises both ballet technique training and artistic achievement through a comprehensive and progressive learning syllabus (Pre-Primary, Primary, Grades 1-8, Vocational Grades).
The RAD Pre-Primary syllabus (age 4-5) emphasises basic posture and discipline in exercises to develop strength, flexibility, musicality and coordination.
The RAD Primary syllabus (age 5 and up) further develops key concepts such as the use of turnout, posture, flexibility, musicality and coordination. It also develops the child’s ability to perform simple combinations of ballet steps/movement while maintaining the right technique and lines.
Jazz
Modern Jazz (CSTD)
The Commonwealth Society of Teachers for Dancing (CSTD, founded 1933) is an authoritative examining body whose high standards are internationally respected.
CSTD Modern Jazz is an excellent and thorough syllabus which was revamped by experts in 2007 to incorporate traditional jazz techniques and recent funk / freestyle / lyrical / contemporary expressions that are so popular today. The progressive syllabus builds strong technique and self confidence within children by incorporating a warm-up with a variety of kicks, turns, leaps, dance steps, and eventually full performance-quality routines at each level.
CSTD exams are held twice a year, enabling students to strive towards improved dancing, and the possibility of moving towards a professional qualification in future, if they wish.
Street Jazz
In our fun and energetic courses, children learn the funkiest moves and grooves to the latest pop music, in the style of the dynamic routines seen in High School Musical, Cheetah Girls or Camp Rock!
The class begins with exercises to teach control over every part of the body, so that your children will groove to the right technique.
